AMS Springboard Award

The lab was awarded the Academy of Medical Sciences Springboard award. It will support our research on the genetic and epigenetic regulation of cell behaviours in melanoma.

Three students from QMUL's MSc in Bioinformatics join the lab: they will integrate different data types (genomics/ histopathology/.. ) to understand disease mechanisms.

Elena becomes the lead of the Genomics of Diseases Theme in the QMUL Centre for Evolutionary and Functional Genomics.

Elena becomes a QMUL Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) Academic Fellow. The DERI fosters great computational research and has a dedicated High-Performance Computing cluster.

It begins! The lab opens up in the Blizard Institute, part of Queen Mary University of London. We are in the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, and associated with the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, part of the Blizard Institute. Stay tuned!
